After more than a decade of partnership, Lavazza is excited to be the official coffee purveyor at Platform by JBF at Pier 57.
This new state-of-the-art kitchen, event space, and educational hub is where we recently co-hosted a “Breakfast Around the World” brunch, pairing Lavazza coffees with globally inspired dishes prepared by alumni of the Beard House Fellows program.
To start, guests were welcomed with a Paloma Café Coffeetail, followed by three courses each paired with a special Lavazza blend. To represent Ecuador, Chef Jahqyad Austin prepared Desayuno Tropical fried eggs with pork and plantain Bolon. Chef Gabriella Perez prepared tostone steak bites with avocado salsa for the Puerto Rican dish, and for Venezuela Chef Marcio Moran prepared cheese arepas with sausage. The brunch was finished with fresh cookies and an Espresso Nocciolato.
