Step 1: Begin by brewing your coffee. We recommend a Chemex or French press for this step.
To brew with a Chemex, place a filter with three of the layers set to the side with a spout. Wet the filter with near boiling water then discard the water. Add the coffee grounds, and prewet them with just enough water to cover the grounds. This allows the coffee to bloom and should take around 45 seconds. Then, begin pouring in your water in a slow, circular motion. Once you’ve brewed your desired amount discard the filter and grounds.
To brew with a French press, begin by preheating with hot water, then pour it out. Add your ground coffee to the press, add near-boiling water, and place the lid on top with the plunger raised. Let the coffee sit for two minutes, then remove the lid and gently stir. Replace the lid and let it continue brewing for another four minutes before stirring again. This time, use two spoons to skim the oil and floating grounds, then slowly press the plunger down. Your coffee is now ready to use!
Step 2: Mix freshly brewed coffee, whiskey (optional) , honey or sugar, orange juice, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg together in your favorite mug.
Step 3: Add whipped cream, sprinkle with holiday sprinkles, and add cinnamon stick for garnish. Enjoy!
