The story of how Jason Atherton became an award-winning chef with restaurants all over the world.
With a plethora of awards and numerous restaurants around the world, Jason Atherton is a culinary legend.
His philosophy embraces the use of well-sourced and fresh ingredients which, combined with technical accuracy, can engineer a myriad of unique flavors. Atherton’s cuisine reflects his time well-spent with world-renowned chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Ferran Adriá, as well as the time he dedicated to perfecting the traditional Sunday roast.
Atherton’s career is strictly linked to his wife Irha’s, with whom he launched their flagship London restaurant in 2011: Pollen Street Social. Awarded a Michelin star within six months of opening, this restaurant is one of the top eateries in London, where you can also enjoy a delicious cup of Lavazza coffee at the end of an exquisite meal.
Following the success of Pollen Street Social, the couple founded The Social Company, which has grown into a global restaurant group, winning multiple awards. It now operates in 18 different venues, including several international franchises, four of which have been awarded Michelin stars.
Jason Atherton is a recurring guest on several television food shows, both in the UK and abroad. He makes a regular appearance on shows such as Saturday Kitchen and Sunday Brunch. In June 2008, Atherton won the hugely popular third series of BBC Two’s Great British Menu. In 2019, he released the BBC Two series, The Chef’s Brigade.
