STEP 1: Fill a Martini glass and a cocktail shaker with ice cubes to chill.
STEP 2: Drain water from the shaker, add the spirits, optional simple syrup, and a freshly brewed espresso.
STEP 3: Shake vigorously.
STEP 4: Remove ice from the Martini glass and pour the cocktail through the strainer into the glass.
STEP 5 (Optional): Garnish with a few coffee beans.
